IBF light champion Raymond Muratalla vs #3 Andy Cruz is possible for November card in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The deal needs to be completed. This would be Muratalla’s first defense after being promoted to a 135-lb IBF champion.
Fight others on the November card
Cruz (6-0, 3 kos) could steal the show for the event if it schooled the big muratalla puncher (23-0, 17 kos) if he turns in the kind of performance he made in his last battle against him Hironori Mishiro last June at Madison Square’s garden in New York City.
Muratalla won the IBF interim light title last May with a unanimous 12-round Lopsided victory over Zaur Abdullaev.
Some fans already consider this fighting as Muratalla turning over its IBF title to Cruz because it does not have the technical ability to defeat Cuba talent. Hopefully, Muratalla makes it entertaining while it lasts.
“I’ve been told there is a strong possibility that Raymond Muratalla will defend his light -hearted IBF world title against Andy Cruz on the November card in Riyadh. However, the deal is not yet completed,” said Fernando Sabatini on X.
Olympic Gold Medal 2020 winner Cruz appears to be the best fighter in the light section already after just two years in the professional ranks. Keyswein Davis did not want any part of his fight before leaving the department, and Shakur Stevenson Not even talking about his name. That’s a fighter that Cruz would love to fight, but he doesn’t look like the feelings are mutual.
That is a clear indication that Cruz is a fighter that none of the best fighters want to mix with him because of what he could do to their careers. The negative side of that is that Cruz will be avoided as the plague unless they are fascinated by Turki Alalshikh.
