The company said on Friday that the Capital Transport Authority has submitted a request of $ 2.4 billion with French train maker ALSTOM to submit the M-9a railway to the Long Island Road Road and Metro-North Rail Road.

Alstoom said that the contract, announced by MTA in June, will be reserved in the second quarter of the fiscal year 2025-26.

These include 160 cars for LirR and 156 for the north metro.
