
Ben Askren gives a update after dual lung transplant
The former MMA fighter and Olympic wrestler Ben Asnerin spoke for the first time since he received a double lung transplant after a battle with pneumonia.

Asrin said he had decreased to 147 pounds since late May, when he lost 50 lbs over 45 days.

Amy wrote: “We are very grateful to participate to the point that Ben received a dual lung transplant. He still doesn’t feel real that he was wandering just 5 weeks ago. Many could change so quickly.”
Askren holds a record number 19-2 MMA through his career, including Bellator and One Talls.
He had a very short career in UFC, where he went 1-2 before he retired from promotion in 2019.
Askren was also a member of the 2008 American Wrestling Team at the Beijing Olympics.
