At least two people have died in the village of Ruidoso, New Mexico. The flash flooded due to torrential rains.
It rained up to 8.8 cm (3.3.), which caused the Ruidoso River to the historic level. The flood is now reduced.
One person and two children died.
Ruidoso spokesman Kerry Gladden said the CBS search and the rescue crew were still out in the fields and a hotline has been created for those who look for the lost members of the family.
Emergency staff in Ruidoso .The area rescued at least 50 Swift Water in the area and urged the residents to go to high ground.
Three persons were treated at a local hospital at a local hospital, Ms. Gladden said in a statement.
Local artist Catalin Carpenter has been transported by at least one house in the footage of social media, which is unable to confirm how many homes have been lost in Ruidoso Mayor Lin Crawford.
Speaking at the local radio station, Mr. Craford said: “It really became ugly”.
The NWS had warned that two ‘burn scars’ around Ruidoso were at high risk of flash-flowing, as the soil behind last year’s wild fire will be the same water-definition.
On June 224, New Mexico was hit by a wildfire in the south. On both sides of the village, approximately 5,3 hectares (5,000,3 acres) land was burnt out of the Ruidoso.
Two people were killed and hundreds of houses were destroyed.
The subsequent report states that the risk of flash floods for at least two years due to the fire will be increased and the possibility of significant floods in those areas was “dramatically increased”.
